Sri Sri Ravishankar begins his yatra in UP today

Amidst charges that Sri Sri Ravishankar is the part of a larger plan by Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) to target the Congress, the spiritual guru would launch a yatra from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh later on Monday.

Ravishankar, who is part C of the RSS plan according to Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh, would be visiting several districts in the poll-bound state, including several known Congress strongholds. Rahul Gandhi's constituency Amethi is also part of his itinerary.

Ravishankar, however, said that his yatra would purely be a religious one.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who according to Singh is RSS's plan A, has been on a 10-day tour of Punjab over the black money issue after his recently concluded long yatra in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Congress leader, activist Anna Hazare is plan B of RSS. On the other side, Advani has also been on a countrywide Jan Chetna Yatra.

Hazare, after massive success of two of his anti-corruption campaigns in the national capital earlier this year, was also likely to launch a countrywide awareness campaign over the Lokpal issue.

On October 27, Singh had posted on micro-blogging site Twitter: "Plan A, B and C are of Sangh/BJP to divert the minds of the people from their involvement in terror activities to corruption."

"I hold Sri Ravishankarji in high esteem and have done a course in the Art of Living as CM MP in 2001. He should be wary of Sangh/BJP," he had tweeted.

However, unfazed by the Congress leader's remarks, Ravishankar had said he would continue his fight against corruption irrespective of the government in power at the Centre.

"I will continue to fight against corruption, whether it's the UPA government or the NDA government. All parties and governments are same for me and my fight is only against corruption, which I will continue to do," he said.
