Hindi Aikyavedi Demands Inquiry into Pak Officials Visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple

Trivandrum: Hindu Aikya Vedi Kerala General Secretary and Janmabhumi Managing Director Kummanam Rajasekharan today demanded the Kerala Government to issue an arrest warrant against two officials in Pakistan High Commission, who had allegedly secretly visited Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple here.

The two officials of Pakistan High Commission office in New Delhi visited the temple without the permission of District Collector here, he alleged. ''They stayed in a hotel near to Kerala Secretariat without the knowledge of authorities as a guest of a well known firm here,'' he alleged. ''A Special Team should go to Delhi and interrogate the High Commission officials who secretly visited the temple,'' he added. Meanwhile, temple sources here said, ''Pak official Aabid Sayied and his wife secretly visited the temple yesterday early morning.

They also visited the ''Kuthiramalika'' near to the temple.'' ''With the help of a friend, the couple reached Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday (Jul 19),'' they added. The secret temple visit of Pakistan diplomat and his wife grabbed the limelight after riches worth an estimated Rs one lakh crore was found in the secret underground vaults that is believed to have been unopened for centuries.

ADGP (Intelligence) A Hemachandran told that ''many foreigners come to the temple these days. There is no restriction to such people entering the temple.'' The Supreme Court yesterday, appointed C V Anandabose as the Chairman of a five-member committee to asses the value of the wealth received from the vaults.
